Derby County v Manchester United tips – goals on the cards at iPro
Derby will go all out for victory against a Red Devils side who are struggling for form
January 28th, 2016
Louis van Gaal’s hate-hate relationship with the press continues after elements claimed the Dutchman tendered his resignation, although it appears that the Manchester United boss is living on borrowed time.
LVG’s hopes of steering the Red Devils back into the Champions League are looking remote while he made a dog’s dinner of their European campaign before Christmas anyhow.
The FA Cup potentially offers some salvation for Van Gaal although it’s a trappy fourth round fixture away to a Derby County side who have spent buckets of money since the summer.
The Rams are clearly trying to buy their way to Premier League promotion although it’s currently backfiring, with heavy defeats coming at home to Birmingham (0-3) and away to Burnley (4-1).
Paul Clement is seemingly unable to address an error-prone defence and confidence levels have been shot, although the FA Cup could be a chance to cut loose and there is no pressure on their shoulders for this one.
Therefore, we’re happy to swerve the WDW market and go for goals at the iPro. While United have had a fair few goalless draws, this isn’t a match to approach defensively for them and they will be encouraged by Derby’s recent goals against.
