Crystal Palace v Stoke tips – improving Eagles can edge Potters
We're backing Palace to edge Stoke at Selhurst Park
December 11th, 2014
Two evenly-matched sides meet at Selhurst Park and we think it could be worth siding with Crystal Palace to claim a much-needed three points against a Stoke side fresh from beating Arsenal last weekend.
The Potters traditionally do well against Arsene Wenger’s team and came out of the traps flying to record a 3-2 victory, although they are erratic on the road, with their only two wins coming against Manchester City and Tottenham.
Perhaps they should be given the benefit of the doubt, considering that away defeats have come against the likes of Liverpool, Manchester United and Southampton, although Neil Warnock liked what he saw from the Eagles last weekend.
Palace should really have left White Hart Lane with three points instead of a goalless draw and the trickery of Wilfried Zaha and Yanick Bolasie could cause problems for a Stoke side who don’t score too many on the road.
It might be that one goal decides this match considering that Palace’s weakest department is in attack, with Dwight Gayle expected to partner Marouane Chamakh as the London side look to score their first goal in three games.
