Chelsea v Norwich City preview – Back goals at Stamford Bridge
Can Chelsea drag themselves out of the doldrums when they play host to Norwich City on Saturday afternoon?
November 19th, 2015
Chelsea’s utterly dreadful defence of their Premier League title continued when they went down 1-0 to Stoke City at the Britannia Stadium before the international break, their third successive league defeat. Indeed, it is somewhat difficult to see how they can stop the rot, although they will feel that they have a decent chance to do just on Saturday that when they face a Norwich City side which sit just one point above them in the league table.
We’re not so sure however. Jose Mourinho’s men have pretty fragile of late and despite having the potential to start winning, they clearly haven’t realised that yet and as such we don’t have the slightest confidence that they can seal the points this weekend, therefore we’ll be looking elsewhere to find some tempting bets.
Instead, we’ll be taking William Hill’s offer of 19/20 for both teams to score at Stamford Bridge. The Canaries have had little trouble in finding the back of the net regularly and should have few problems finding a way through the leaky Chelsea defence.
Nevertheless, Norwich City have one of the Premier League worst goals-against records and we expect them to concede against a Chelsea side who will be desperate to turn things around as soon as possible.
With that in mind, we expect a thrilling clash between two sides desperate to remain above the drop zone and we should see a few goals. Over 3.5 goals is available at odds of 7/4 across the market, however this match could be a great opportunity for new customers to benefit from 888sport’s Treble Odds on First Bet offer, resulting in odds of 27/5 for over 3.5 goals.
