Chelsea v Aston Villa tips – 4/6 Blues set to get the job done
Chelsea will avoid a banana skin when they face the Villans on Saturday
September 24th, 2014
It was all going so well for Aston Villa ahead of Saturday’s clash against Arsenal although three quickfire goals from the Gunners saw the Midlands side experience their first Premier League defeat of the season.
There were mitigating circumstances considering that several members of the Villa squad had been laid low by a virus, although perhaps victories at the Britannia Stadium and Anfield gave a false impression that Paul Lambert’s team were actually better than they are.
Goals are coming at a premium for the Midlands side and they might struggle to penetrate the Chelsea defence on Saturday as Jose Mourinho’s team look to kick on in the Premier League after four straight wins were followed by a point at the Etihad Stadium last Sunday.
It should be business as usual for the Premier League title favourites who are banker material at 2/9 with William Hill to claim victory although we can go a step further and back Chelsea at 4/6 to be leading at half-time and full-time in this game.
Diego Costa has been scoring for fun since the campaign started, with Paddy Power going 5/2 that the former Atletico Madrid forward breaks the deadlock, while the Spanish international is a 14/1 poke to score another hat-trick.
Mourinho will simply be looking for a routine win ahead of next week’s Champions League date and the 11/2 about a 2-0 victory for the Blues looks just the ticket.
