Cardiff City v Bristol City Tips – Five on the bounce for Bluebirds
Cardiff City will be confident of making it five wins from five when they entertain Bristol City tonight.
October 26th, 2015
Cardiff are battling to earn for themselves a place in the play-offs and possible promotion back to the top flight again, however they currently sit eighth in the table some four points adrift of sixth-placed Birmingham City.
All of this could change tonight however. The Bluebirds have been enjoying some excellent recent form which has seen them win twice and draw twice in their last four Championship outings and they go into this clash on the back of a 1-0 victory over Middlesbrough at home, courtesy of a George Friend own-goal.
They will take comfort from the fact that Bristol City have been struggling since their promotion to the second tier this season. The Robins are above the relegation zone purely on goal difference with just ten points from their two wins and four draws so far and they head into this match on the back of a 2-1 defeat away to Championship leaders Brighton last weekend.
The last time these sides met was two years ago in the Championship, the Bluebirds running out 2-1 victors on that occasion with Fraizer Campbell scoring both Cardiff City goals. With the South Wales side sweeping aside all opposition of late, we expect them to dominate in what looks set to be a relatively one-sided affair, although with tonight’s visitors failing to find the back of the net just twice since the start of the season, we expect there to be goals for both sides.
