Burnley v Southampton tips – Clarets set to hold Saints
Southampton’s winless run set to continue at Turf Moor
December 11th, 2014
Southampton haven’t turned into a bad team overnight although they were enjoying a lofty position in the Premier League mainly due to playing against weaker teams during the autumn months.
Defeats against the two Manchester teams and Arsenal have brought them down a peg or two, with the Saints having now scored just two goals in their past four games and Burnley will be confident of keeping things tight on Saturday.
Sean Dyche’s team were beaten at Loftus Road last weekend although they created plenty of chances and had previously gone four games unbeaten, with Newcastle and Aston Villa held at Turf Moor following a defeat of Hull City.
Danny Ings should be a handful for a Saints team without a clean sheet in the past four games, with George Boyd also looking a threat for the Lancashire side who are starting to look as though they can make a real fist of staying up.
