Things are looking pretty good for Burnley at the moment. They sit third in the Championship table with just two points separating them from second-placed Middlesbrough following 11 draws and 15 wins. Another three points this weekend would clearly provide the side with a massive boost as they look to keep the pressure on the top two.

Burnley have enjoyed an excellent run of late, having avoided defeat since Boxing Day when they went down 3-0 against Championship leaders Hull City. We’re not anticipating this unbeaten run coming to an end against a Rotherham United side which sit some five points from safety in the bottom three.

The Millers have endured an utterly miserable season to date with just one Championship win to their name since the 4-0 victory over bottom-placed Bolton Wanderers on Boxing Day. Neil Redfearn was sacked as manager earlier in the campaign and current boss Neil Warnock has the unenviable task of turning things around at the New York Stadium.

Ok so if anyone can achieve this difficult task, Neil Warnock can. Nevertheless, he will be in no doubt as to the enormity of the task facing him and he won’t be hugely confident of starting any turnaround against a Clarets side who are flying high in the table.

Indeed, the Millers have won just twice away from home in all competitions this season and we can’t really see them pulling a third out of the bag at Turf Moor this weekend. As such, we have no hesitation in predicting a Clarets win, although with William Hill going just 4/7 for a Burnley victory, we’ll be looking elsewhere for meatier odds.

With Sean Dyche’s men enjoying some excellent form on home turf this season with no defeats in the Championship since December and just a single goal conceded, we’ll be backing a 2-0 Burnley win at odds of 6/1 with Paddy Power.
