Burnley v Hull City tips – time for Clarets to break Premier League duck
Sean Dyche’s Burnley are gearing up for their first top flight win this season
November 7th, 2014
It has been a sorry season for Burnley so far, although that was partly to be expected considering the Lancashire side were promoted on a shoestring budget and were certainly not prepared to overspend in order to retain their Premier League status this term.
Sean Dyche continues to cut a buoyant character and the “Ginger Mourinho” could be rewarded with a victory on Saturday, with Burnley having held Arsenal for an hour last weekend before ultimately losing the game 3-0.
Boylesports go 8/5 about a win for the Clarets and while the form book suggests this is a tall order, Danny Ings returning to the first team is a big plus, while Hull have managed just one victory on the road all term.
Burnley’s last two matches at Turf Moor have resulted in 3-1 defeats although they had a hatful of chances against West Ham in the first half of the game and Dyche will be looking for a repeat performance on Saturday.
The visitors have won just one of their last nine games and Steve Bruce is in a quandary whether to return to the defensive football which got Hull promoted and essentially kept them in the top flight last term.
Since a 2-2 draw at the Emirates, the goals have dried up and Burnley will naturally be looking to run a tighter ship than the past few weeks, with a 1-0 win for the home side looking backable at odds of 15/2 with BetVictor.
