Burnley v Everton tips: Easy win for Toffees at Turf Moor
A dismal Burnley should provide little opposition for the Toffees this weekend
October 21st, 2016
Everton have been a bit of a mixed bag so far this season, Ronald Koeman’s side drawing against the likes of Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City but losing to Bournemouth as well as Championship side Norwich City, the latter defeat at Goodison Park in the EFL Cup.
Indeed, we’re not sure which Everton side will turn up on Saturday afternoon although we’re confident enough that they can seal the three points against a Burnley side which are struggling in the top flight.
The Toffees are unlikely to be amongst the title contenders at the business end of the season but they are nevertheless a strong side under the guidance of Ronald Koeman and have proven this with some excellent early season results.
They head into this weekend’s match on the back of a morale-boosting draw with title favourites Manchester City and whilst this result was perhaps more about luck than anything else, it will certainly set them up in confident mood ahead of their weekend trip to Turf Moor.
Burnley were utterly abysmal in their 3-1 defeat to Ronald Koeman’s previous employers Southampton at St Mary’s last weekend and should they put in a similar performance on Saturday afternoon, then they have no chance whatsoever against Everton.
Toffees star player Romelu Lukaku will once again be in the frame when it comes to finding the back of the net at some point and with the Belgian striker breaking the deadlock in his last two outings for the Toffees, we’ll be backing him to do just that when Koeman’s men take to the field at Turf Moor this weekend.
