Just as Burnley were being written off as Premier League no-hopers, they pull a couple of wins out of the bag against Stoke and Hull respectively.

Sean Dyche wants his team to “achieve the impossible” by staying up despite having by far the lowest wage bill and transfer budget in the division, with Danny Ings now firing on all cylinders for the Lancashire side.

It was the young striker’s quickfire brace that gave Burnley an insurmountable lead at the Britannia Stadium, although they were hanging on for grim death at the end of a pulsating encounter which means that the Clarets are within touching distance of the safety zone.

Ladbrokes offer a best price 5/4 that Burnley win their third match on the bounce but we should remember that the home side had a return of just four points from ten games before these victories.

Defensively, twenty goals have been conceded and Aston Villa have stopped the rot themselves recently, drawing 0-0 at West Ham before holding high-flying Southampton to a 1-1 draw.

There’s a case to be made for backing the visitors at 29/10 with BetVictor to win this match, with Gabby Agbonlahor and Andreas Weimann set to cause problems in attack with their pace.

Defensively, the Villans were pretty stout against the Saints and weren’t far away from winning 1-0 which is a scoreline which helped them triumph away to Liverpool and Stoke earlier this season.

Providing Ings can be tamed, there might not be a huge scoring threat coming from Burnley and we’re prepared to take a punt on Villa getting back to winning ways at long last.
