Manchester United are now a mere ninety minutes away from making a welcome return to the Champions League group stages, however Club Brugge still stand in their way. Can they maintain or even build on their two-goal cushion in this second-leg clash?

United ran out 3-1 winners at Old Trafford in the first leg despite falling behind in the eighth minute thanks to an own-goal from Michael Carrick. Memphis Depay levelled for the hosts before putting them ahead with a stunning strike. Marouane Fellaini then gave United a two-goal cushion in added time and that should really be that.

It really should be, but these things cannot be taken for granted and much still needs to be done before the Red Devils can say hello to the group stages.

United now need to wrap up this tie with a decent result in Brugge and the Old Trafford outfit are 10/11 with Bet365 to qualify in style with a win in this second leg. They should get their win tomorrow, however we’re not completely convinced following their rather dismal draw against Newcastle United at the weekend. They failed to ignite up front once again and it wouldn’t come as a huge surprise should they fail to win against Brugge.

If they are going to find the back of the net tomorrow, our choice of scorer would certainly be Depay. Rooney is offering little in the way of magic up front and Depay seems to enjoy his European adventures, therefore we feel that the Dutchman will pose the biggest threat from United. Indeed, with two goals in the first leg, we’ll be backing him at 15/8 with Bet365 in the anytime goalscorer market.

The visitors are lacking a cutting edge at the moment and a low-scoring match would certainly suit Van Gaal’s men in this second leg, given that they don’t actually need to win to reach the group stages. The Red Devils will get the job done and progress in this tournament but it won’t be pretty.

BETTING TIPS – Anytime goalscorer, Memphis Depay – Bet365  15/8
