Brighton v Millwall tips – Lions can make their points at the AMEX
Brighton and Millwall should play out a draw on Friday night
December 12th, 2014
=It’s going to be a difficult Christmas for Sami Hyypia and Ian Holloway, with both managers struggling to keep their teams from the Championship relegation trapdoor at the moment.
Brighton sit 22nd in the standings and last Saturday’s 3-0 reverse at Derby means the pressure is firmly on their Finnish manager to improve matters, with several clubs in the bottom half of the league having already made a personnel change.
Tonight’s game gives the Seagulls a perfect opportunity to return to winning ways and the bookies make them 21/20 to claim three points although that means backing a team who have won just two of their ten games at the AMEX this term.
Just one win in thirteen games makes for dismal reading, with Darren Bent drafted on loan from Aston Villa to make a difference in front of goal.
Millwall’s position in the Championship is less of a surprise although the Lions did actually make a fast start to the campaign before dropping badly away in the past couple of months.
It was the worst result of the season against Middlesbrough last weekend when the visitors ran out 5-1 winners at The New Den, although we should note that the London side have recently collected a point from matches away to Charlton and Bournemouth.
