Bournemouth v Preston NE tips: Back a Wilshere goal at Dean Court
A relatively easy evening awaits the Cherries in the EFL Cup on Tuesday evening
September 19th, 2016
One of the main stories of the transfer deadline day was the move to Bournemouth of Jack Wilshere, however his first appearance whilst on loan to the south coast club was something of a nightmare. The England international was asked to play deeper against Manchester City in order to contain City’s key players, however he was clearly out of his depth in this role and gave away a free kick from which Kevin De Bruyne broke the deadlock.
Things should prove to be a lot different when Bournemouth face Preston North End in the EFL Cup on Tuesday evening with Wilshere looking to make a more positive impact in front of the vocal home fans.
We expect Wilshere to stand out from the crowd in this match, should he be given the opportunity to do so. The 24-year-old may not be the most prolific player but he has impressed both at international level and with the Gunners in recent years. He managed a brace against Slovenia in 2015 and he represents excellent value at odds of 11/2 with Bet365 to score anytime against Preston North End on Tuesday evening.
The Championship side lost 5-0 against Brentford in their last outing and the chances are that it could be a similarly one-sided affair at Dean Court in this midweek encounter. Should that prove to be the case then Wilshere should be in with numerous chances of getting his name onto the scoresheet.
