Borussia Dortmund v Arsenal tips – goals on the cards in Germany
The Gunners can get a point against a free-scoring Dortmund team on Tuesday
September 15th, 2014
For the third time in four seasons, Dortmund and Arsenal face each other in the Champions League group stage, having both gone through last season at the expense of Napoli.
The German side won 2-1 at the Emirates before Aaron Ramsey scored the only goal of the game at Signal Iduna Park to get Arsenal back on track, with the two teams enjoying fairly bright starts to the campaign.
Borussia Dortmund are naturally favourites as the home side, although odds of 11/10 seem a touch too skinny, with Robert Lewandowski now plying his trade for Bayern Munich.
A recent home defeat against Bayer Leverkusen illustrated the team’s frailties, with a 3-2 win away to Augsburg showing that Jurgen Klopp’s side continue to sacrifice defending for strong attacking play and Shinji Kagawa is back in the fold.
Marco Reus will miss this match for the home team and Arsenal will arrive in Germany full of confidence after a 2-2 draw with Manchester City, which saw Jack Wilshere and Alexis Sanchez help the team come from a goal down.
The Gunners have an excellent record when it comes to emerging from their Champions League group and odds of 13/5 look pretty tasty about a side for whom Sanchez is starting to flourish, while Danny Welbeck adds a focal point in attack.
However, with beatable teams making up the remainder of the group, the 7/10 about Over 2.5 Goals looks the most appetizing considering that neither defence are keeping things tight at the moment.
Both teams to score also looks nailed on at 8/13 with bet365 and that man Sanchez is worthy of consideration at 5/2 to find the net at any stage of the game.
