Bologna v Juventus Match Preview
Can Juventus bring the curtain down on an excellent domestic campaign by taking three points on Saturday evening?

Few doubted Juventus’ ability to once again land the Serie A title, however the ‘Old Lady’ of Italian football certainly didn’t make life easy for herself in recent weeks. Massimiliano Allegri’s side could only manage a draw with Torino earlier this month and they effectively threw the title race wide open by embarking upon a 3-1 defeat to arch-rivals Roma in their following outing. A 3-0 victory over struggling side Crotone was required for Juventus to finally lay their hands on the Serie A trophy and they will be looking to keep the momentum going ahead of their upcoming clash with Real Madrid in the final of the Champions League.
Allegri’s men also have a domestic double in their pockets thanks to their Coppa Italia victory over Lazio last week with Dani Alves and Leonardo Bonucci scoring a goal apiece in the first-half to secure a victory which could yet prove to be part of an historic treble, should the Italian champions find a way past Real Madrid in Cardiff next month.
This will be the ultimate goal for the Juventus boss and as such we expect him to rest a handful of key players this weekend. Nevertheless even a somewhat second-string Juve should have few problems in disposing a Bologna side which have performed badly against sides in the top-seven this season and a Juventus win looks very much a formality on this occasion.
That said, Bologna have been having few problems finding the net with ten goals in their previous five games in Serie A and while we don’t envisage the home side managing anything for their efforts on Saturday, we do feel that they will give the home fans something to cheer by grabbing for themselves a consolation goal.
