Blackpool v Cardiff City tips – all square at the seaside
The Tangerines looking for their first win against a manager-less Cardiff side
October 1st, 2014
Blackpool’s financial problems are well-documented and the Lancashire club currently look doomed for relegation to League One after mustering just three points to date.
Jose Riga looks to have his work cut out although the Tangerines have lost several of their matches narrowly this term and Tuesday’s 1-1 draw at Middlesbrough was probably their result of the season.
They are showing signs of improvement and odds of 29/10 with BetVictor about them winning their first match are tempting, although it’s hard to back a side that haven’t experienced victory yet this term.
Ishmael Miller and Nathan Delfouneso are a decent strike pairing and they will look to beat a Cardiff side who recently parted company with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as the Welsh club look to recruit a replacement.
City sit 13th in the Championship table and they are still without a win on the road this term, drawing four of their five games which further strengthens the argument for backing this match to end all square.
Bet365 go 5/2 about the draw and it’s better value than the short odds about a Cardiff victory, with Danny Gabbidon in temporary charge of a team who have won just one game in their past seven.
