Blackburn Rovers v Bolton Wanderers Tips – Who will escape from bottom three?
The end of the season may be a long way off, however a place in the relegation zone is no place to be
August 26th, 2015
Both of these sides will be desperate to move out of the bottom three in the Championship, however with not a single win between them, things aren’t looking good for the Lancashire neighbours.
Blackburn Rovers welcome Bolton Wanderers to Ewood Park on Friday evening, both sides hopeful of halting their winless runs which extend to five games apiece. It doesn’t exactly make for good reading, both Bolton and Blackburn having been knocked out of the Capital One Cup in the first round and failing to win any of their opening Championship matches to date.
As such, morale is certain to be low in both camps with the result that a somewhat dour and low-scoring affair looks to be the order of the day on Friday.
At Ewood Park, speculation mounts as to the future of boss Gary Bowyer, whilst his opposite number – Neil Lennon – will also be feeling the pressure. A win really is a must this week for both sides otherwise serious questions will undoubtedly be asked.
We’re not so sure that there will be a winner however. With just four goals between them since the start of the Championship season, neither side is exactly setting the division alight and we see no reason to believe that things will be any different at Ewood Park.
We could be wrong and we may witness a goal-fest. We doubt it however. Neither side have been convincing in the slightest and cannot be counted upon to produce the goals needed for a climb out of the bottom three. A point apiece looks set to be the reward for their efforts on Friday and that won’t be good enough for either set of fans.
