Belgium v Czech Republic International Friendly Preview & Tips
Will the Red Devils get the upper hand tonight when they lock horns with the Czech Republic?
June 5th, 2017
Belgium are still awaiting their first victory of 2017 and they will be confident of managing this tonight when they face the Czech Republic in an international friendly this evening on home soil. Indeed this outing serves as further preparation for their World Cup qualifying campaign although we don’t envisage the Red Devils having too many problems when they face Estonia later in the week.
Nevertheless with little room for complacency, the Belgians need to buckle-up at the back and the manner in which they conceded three goals to Russia in their last outing will doubtless be cause for concern. Indeed tonight’s hosts head into this match on the back of two successive draws and a return to winning ways will be seen as a must ahead of their busy summer schedule.
For their part, the Czech Republic have been enjoying a modicum of success in recent months with two draws and three wins in their previous five games although two of these were against far inferior opposition and we imagine that Belgium will provide far stiffer opposition than the likes of San Marino and Lithuania.
The Red Devils may have been banging in a few goals in recent games but clearly they need to tighten up at the back with the side four goals in their last two matches. With that in mind, we’ll be expecting to see both nets bulge this evening although the hosts should possess the edge and run out winners at the final whistle.
