Aston Villa v Manchester United tips – Villans can hold their own
Friday night’s match between Aston Villa and Manchester United could be a lot closer than the odds suggest
August 14th, 2015
Manchester United are fancied by some for the Premier League title this season and they face a stern test of their credentials on Friday night at Villa Park.
The Red Devils only won six matches on the road last season and Marouane Fellaini played an integral role in many of those victories, although the Belgian is suspended for this game.
There has been plenty of positivity surrounding the recruitment of Bastian Schweinsteiger although perhaps the German is past his best, with United looking short up front and Memphis Depay might need a few games to start flourishing.
Villa will certainly be fired up for this game and Tim Sherwood has recruited a new crop of players during the summer, including Rudy Gestede, Jordan Amavi and Jordan Veretout.
Ron Vlaar has been replaced by Micah Richards in central defence and the latter would like nothing better to get one over United thanks to his Manchester City past, with Villa looking overpriced to get something from the game.
