Leicester have lost six of their seven matches on the road this season and also suffered defeat in six of their last seven games.

Confidence could not be at a lower ebb for Sunday’s clash at Villa Park, with Nigel Pearson having to contend with disgruntled fans against Liverpool on Tuesday.

Supporters have a short memory considering that Leicester stormed to a Championship title win last term, although club owners have limited patience with managers and Pearson might well find himself having an extended Christmas with family members.

Aston Villa will regard this match as an ideal opportunity to put clear water between themselves and the drop zone, with BetVictor going 29/20 about a win for the Villans who are coming into this game off the back of a 1-0 victory at Selhurst Park.

Defensively, the Villans are pretty strong, with Alan Hutton enjoying a resurgence at right-back, while Ciaran Clark is once again acquitting himself well.

Joe Cole is once again injured but Christian Benteke is back for Christmas and the Belgian notched against Palace to ensure three points were heading the way of the Villans.

We fancy the home side to claim victory in this match and perhaps it will be a win to nil, with Leicester really short of goals at the moment and looking to stop the rot on the road.
