Backing Aston Villa at home hasn’t been a profitable way forward in the past few years, although Paul Lambert’s team look ripe for three points on Sunday.
The Midlands side couldn’t be facing Hull at a better time, with the Tigers throwing the kitchen sink at Lokeren on Thursday night before bowing out of the Europa League on away goals.
Bet365 offer 13/10 about a home win and that looks a price worth taking, with the Villans looking especially stubborn in defence thanks to the goalkeeping of Brad Guzan and the positional awareness of Ron Vlaar.
Goals are admittedly a problem for the Villa, with Andreas Weimann the only player to find the net in 180 minutes of football, although Darren Bent could get his chance against the Tigers.
Hull are missing the suspended James Chester for the encounter, with Steve Bruce still searching for a striker replacement for Shane Long, although Robbie Brady was in impressive form against Lokeren.
