Arsenal v Hull City tips – Welbeck set to star against Tigers
Danny Welbeck can continue his bright start for the Gunners against Hull on Saturday
October 14th, 2014
Arsenal aren’t going to win the Premier League title this season (that will be Chelsea’s) although Arsene Wenger might yet steer the Gunners to second place in the final standings.
A return of ten points from seven games played doesn’t look all that great on paper but includes just one defeat and there have been several great moments such as the way they came back against Everton and the Gunners serving it up to Manchester City.
Both of those games ended 2-2 and it’s now up to Arsenal to capitalise on a more favourable set of fixtures and work their way up the table.
Ladbrokes’ 2/5 about an Arsenal win on Saturday isn’t for the faint-hearted, although the north London side should oblige against Hull with relative ease, even if Mesut Ozil has been ruled out for several months.
Ozil’s absence might not be too keenly-felt if Jack Wilshere continues his impressive form, while Danny Welbeck will be looking to follow up with a recent hat-trick at the Emirates when Arsenal thrashed Galatasaray in the Champions League.
Welbeck is a 9/2 chance with Paddy Power to score the first goal of the game and looks a prime contender, with Alexis Sanchez on hand to provide assists to the former Manchester United man.
Meanwhile, Hull are sitting mid-table after collecting nine points from seven matches, although they have been shipping plenty of goals on the road.
A combined seven goals have been conceded in the last three games and that is why William Hill are offering 8/1 about an away win on Saturday.
