Anderlecht will pose Spurs no end of problems on Thursday evening in their Europa League clash, the Belgian side having made an excellent start to their domestic season where they currently sit third in the table after eleven matches.

In this season’s Europa League, manager Besnik Hasi will have been hopeful that his men could have progressed into the knockout stages of the competition, although this is now looking increasingly unlikely, given that they struggled to a draw with Monaco at home and suffered a defeat at FK Qarabag.

Spurs have had a solid start to their Premier League campaign so far, although they have hardly set the league on fire and currently sit seventh in the table following successive draws against Swansea City and Liverpool. Prior to these results, the North London side drew away to Monaco in the tournament, adding what was a valuable point to the three they managed at home to Qarabag in their opening European match. We expect them to add another three in this outing and you can back the away side at 7/5 with Bet365 to deliver the goods on Thursday night.

Spurs may have managed to keep a clean sheet against Liverpool last weekend but they aren’t renowned for keeping out the goals and have conceded in both of their European outings this season, therefore we can’t see them keeping at bay a strong Anderlecht frontline.

The hosts scored four against Zulte-Waregem last weekend and they will be confident of breaching a Spurs defence which contains no less than two Belgian internationals in the form of Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen, although these players may be rested for this match.

Either way, the visitors could put themselves very much in the driving seat for progress into the Europa League knockout stages with a victory in Belgium. The hosts will put up a tough fight, but Spurs can battle through to seal the three points.
