Anderlecht v Arsenal tips – easy win for Gunners
Arsene Wenger’s team can advance towards last sixteen stage in Belgium
October 21st, 2014
Arsenal have won just two of their eight Premier League matches although they should be too classy for an Anderlecht side who lost their last Champions League encounter against Borussia Dortmund by a 3-0 scoreline.
Arsene Wenger was particularly spiky when interviewed by the BBC after Saturday’s 2-2 draw with Hull City, although the Frenchman should cut a more upbeat figure when three more Group D points have been landed.
Arsenal are fortunate to be in a section including Anderlecht and Galatasaray, both of whom are sub-standard, with the Belgian side having drawn their last two Belgian Pro League matches.
The visitors are a 4/5 chance with bet365 to claim victory in this match and it looks a decent enough price, with Aaron Ramsey back in the squad following injury, even if defensive problems led to Hector Bellerin starting against the Tigers.
Mikel Arteta should also come back into the team, with Arsenal adopting the best form of defence which is attack and that could lead to goals at both ends of the pitch, with odds of 31/40 on offer that Over 2.5 Goals are scored.
Anderlecht will go for broke after that humbling at the hands of Borussia Dortmund although just one goal have been scored in the last three games and we’re forecasting a relatively straightforward win, with Alexis Sanchez once again pulling the strings.
