Championship Scores & Results

The Championship is the second tier when it comes to the English Football League, with several teams bidding to get promoted and join the big boys in the Premier League. This is a division traditionally know for "sleeping giants" although many Championship clubs are now very wealthy and have featured in the Premier League in the past few seasons. Two teams enjoy automatic promotion to the Premier League, with the teams placed between third and sixth compete in the play-offs for the final remaining spot. Meanwhile, the bottom three teams are relegated to League One.
